1,500 teachers paid to do union business instead of teach - NYPOST.com

1,500 teachers paid to do union business instead of teach - NYPOST.com: "The Department of Education pays about 1,500 teachers for time they spend on union activities -- and pays other teachers to replace them in the classroom.

It's a sweetheart deal that costs taxpayers an extra $9 million a year to pay fill-ins for instructors who are sprung -- at full pay -- to carry out responsibilities for the United Federation of Teachers."

The Largest Oil Reserve in the World, is on American Soil!

The Largest Oil Reserve in the World, is on American Soil! Guess what else China doesn't want you to know about!

by Kevin Hillman on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 1:33am
Hey Gang,

Whether you are a Democrat or Republican, this should really “BITE YOU IN THE BUTT”! Our country is being driven into economic chaos while our lobbyist driven Presidents and Congress have been using their reintroduced OLD MEDICAL TOOL ON THE REST OF THE CITIZENS.

U. S. Oil Discovery – Largest Reserve in the World! Stansberry Report Online – 4/20/2006
Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lay the largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005President Bush mandated its extraction. In three and a half years of high oil pricesnone has been extracted. With this mother load of oil why are we still fighting over off-shore drilling?

They reported this stunning news:  We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official estimates:

- 8-times as much oil as
Saudi Arabia
- 18-times as much oil as Iraq
- 21-times as much oil as Kuwait
- 22-times as much oil as Iran
- 500-times as much oil as Yemen
- and it's all right here in the Western United States .

HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this?  Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil! Again, we are letting a small group of people dictate our lives and our economy.....WHY?

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we've got more oil in this very compact area than the entire
Middle east – more than 2 TRILLION barrels untapped. That's more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports The Denver Post.

Don't think '
OPEC' will drop its price - even with this find?  Think again!  It's all about the competitive marketplace, - it has to. Think OPEC just might be funding the environmentalists? Got your attention/ire up yet? Hope so!  Now, while you're thinking about it.... and hopefully P.O'd, do this:

3. Pass this along. If you don't take a little time to do this, then you should stifle yourself the next time you want to complain about gas prices... because by doing NOTHING, you've forfeited your right to complain.

The Post reports: “State and municipal governments from Sacramento to Madison to Harrisburg have racked up about $2.4 trillion in debt, or more than 15 percent of GDP.”"

The Interior Department's Culture of Contempt - HUMAN EVENTS: "Federal judge Martin Feldman in Louisiana excoriated the Obama Interior Department Wednesday for defying his May 2010 order to lift its groundless ban on offshore oil and gas drilling in the Gulf. Nine months later, not a single permit has been issued. Several deepwater platforms have moved out of the area to take their businesses -- and an estimated 5,000 jobs -- overseas. Billions of dollars in potential oil revenue and Gulf lease sales-related rent have also dried up."

What Billings does not understand, but is about to learn, is that like all government unions, Madison Teachers, Inc., does not care about teaching her children. Former American Federation of Teachers President Al Shanker put it bluntly: "When school children start paying union dues, that’s when I’ll start representing the interests of school children." That is what this fight in Wisconsin, and across the country, is really about: money. And not money for government employees—money for government unions. The government unions themselves are admitting this every day the fight drags on.

Obama thinks you're stupid

Someone should tell Obama: Business people are not stupid

By: Herman Cain
February 14, 2011

After I published my 2005 book, They Think You’re Stupid,I thought I should have titled it They Think We Are All Stupid All the Time because it appeared that pure politicians, especially liberals, didn’t think any of us were capable of seeing through their denial, deceptions and lack of leadership.
Based on President Obama’s latest speeches and comments from other prominent liberals like Howard Dean, the latter title would have been more appropriate. They continue to try to convince the public that their failed policies are working, that they need more time, and that more federal spending plus bigger government are the answers to our problems.
In a speech to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce last week, the president urged U.S. business leaders to “get in the game” in support of their country by spending more cash. He wants businesses to follow the government’s lead. Namely, ignore the real state of the economy and spend irresponsibly for the good of the country.
That would not be good for the country! The last thing we need is more bankrupt companies on top of the three million plus businesses that filed for bankruptcy in the last two years. That would only add to the already staggering level of unemployment.
The business people in the audience listened respectfully, but they are not about to spend their investors’ cash irresponsibly. They are not about to invest heavily during a stalled economy, and they are not about to hire people they do not need.
Successful business people are not stupid. That’s why they are successful!
President Obama also tried to invoke the challenge of President John F. Kennedy when he called on Americans to “ask what you can do for your country”.
This is not a persuasive challenge – telling business people to invest in an anemic economy – because President Obama is no JFK.JFK had earned the trust of the American people. Obama has not.
Unlike JFK, President Obama has not drastically slashed tax rates, which stimulated the economy, and Obama has broken too many campaign promises. Businesses are not going to follow him off the proverbial economic cliff when doing what he asks does not make sense. Many Democratic members of Congress followed him off the cliff on health care deform, and they are now ex-congressmen.
Successful businesspeople are not that gullible.
At the same time President Obama was trying to seduce corporate America into spending money in a stalled economy, his proposed budget for FY 2012 increases the amount on which payroll tax insurance is paid by businesses from $7,000 to $15,000 per employee. That’s a sneak-a-tax! We were not supposed to notice it since the increase would not be effective until 2014. Well! We noticed.
This president refused to even acknowledge the failed policies of the last two years in an interview with Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly. He is in denial that his policies are redistributive of income in nature. He is in denial as to what the American people really want. He believes that the American people want what he wants for America. A government controlled socialistic America!
With all due respect Mr. President, your assessment is wrong.
Intelligent and informed thinkers are reclaiming America! We out-number the stupid people.
You’ll see in November 2012.

Border Patrol Data Contradicts Napolitano's Testimony That U.S. Has 'Effective Control of the Great Majority' of Both Northern and Southern Borders | CNSnews.com: "According to the data that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has provided to CNSNews.com, as of Sept. 30, 2010 (the end of fiscal year 2010), the U.S. government had established “effective control” of only about 44 percent (873 miles) of the 1,994-mile-long southwest border and only about 2 percent (69 miles) of the approximately 4,000 mile-long northern border."

Joe blue collar Biden loves the taxpayer funded failure Amtrak

Choo choo Joey has lobbied for decades to preserve the money losing Amtrak. In 2008 he co-sponsored a bill for $1.3 billion. George Bush signed the bill in 08, doubling the funding to $13 billion over 5 years. Now keep in mind that for $172 choo choo could buy a round trip ticket from Wilmington to DC. Something most of your average Joe's cannot afford. Then again average Joe Biden usually didn't pay either. You see he is allowed to use campaign monies as long as the trip is for campaign meetings or events. According to the New York Times though, little choo choo Joey's campaign paid for trips even in years he wasn't up for election. Ut oh. Seems that average Joe Biden is just your average cheat and liar. Oh and just so you know that the rotten apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Choo choo Joe's son Hunter, was appointed to serve on the Amtrak reform board in 2006. Hmmm. How convenient.  Amtrak is forbidden by law to lobby congress for money but according to Politico  Hunter was an "effective advocate" for the tax payer funded Amtrak. Isn't that nice?

In February of 09 Obama signed the $787 billion  Porkulous bill. He also made honest Joe the spending watchdog. So naturally he gives Amtrak a $1.3 billion present. Thats just precious. Flushing more tax payer funds down the Amtrak toilet. Oh did I forget to mention that Amtrak actually loses money on 41 out of 44 of their train routes? Yeah, sweet. Now fast forward to February 8, 2011. Choo choo Joey announces that the White House will ask congress for $53 billion for faster passenger rail. I guess that is so we can lose money even faster on 41 out of 44 routes. Nice!!

Now Marxist in Chief Obama loves to use Japan as an example of successful high speed passenger trains. He said  Japan the nation that unveiled the first high speed rail system is already at work building the next. A line that will connect Tokyo and Osaka at speeds of over 300 miles per hour…There’s no reason why we can’t do this. This is America. Yea, but what he conveniently left out was  an important fact. Most of Japan’s high-speed rail lines are ran by a private company. Thats right unlike America, Japan was intelligent enough in 1987 to dump the government run trains and privatize them.  In the 70's and early 80's Japan's government run trains were losing $50 million a day. You see unlike America, Japan actually learned from their mistake and corrected it. Now the 3 main companies that run the trains have made huge profits, increased ridership, and decreased accidents. Wow! Who would have thunk it, capitalism works. Too bad that we don't have any intelligence or capitalist in this administration.
Just sayin..

Imam Caught Sneaking Into US; Iranian Terrorism Book Found in Border Desert

Imam Caught Sneaking Into US; Iranian Terrorism Book Found in Border Desert: "Neither of today’s news stories on illegal alien Muslims at the border are news to me, since I’ve been complaining about this for years. The first–about an extremist imam (redundant phrase) caught trying to sneak into the U.S.–isn’t the first time that’s happened. Nor, is the second story–about an extremist Islamic book from Iran being found in the desert on the trail into the U.S. As I’ve noted before, WSB-TV covered this when they noted the many Korans, Islamic terrorist flags and logos, and Iranian uniforms, etc. in the desert at the U.S. and Mexican borders. That FOX News was told by Border Patrol that they found, “In Memory of Our Martyrs,” a book celebrating Islamic suicide bombers in the desert ain’t a scoop. We know Islamic terrorists and otherwise extremist Muslims are coming here and are already here. Not a secret. But also not enough to make anyone care to do anything about it."

Carter Sued Over Palestine Apartheid Book

Carter Sued Over Palestine Apartheid Book

By Henry J. Reske
Former President Jimmy Carter has been slapped with a $5 million class action lawsuit claiming his 2006 book “Palestine Peace Not Apartheid” violated New York consumer protection laws. The suit, which also names publisher Simon & Schuster, claims the book contains false statements designed to promote anti-Israel propaganda and deceive the public, The Washington Post reported.

carter, palestine, book, suedThe federal lawsuit alleges the book violated New York consumer protection laws by engaging in “deceptive acts in the course of conducting business” and seeking financial rewards by promoting the book “as a work of non-fiction.”

Nitsana Darshan-Leitner said, "The lawsuit will expose all the falsehoods and misrepresentations in Carter's book and prove that his hatred of Israel has led him to commit this fraud on the public. He is entitled to his opinions but deceptions and lies have no place in works of history," the Post reported.

A spokesman for Simon & Schuster called the lawsuit, Unterberg et al v. Jimmy Carter et al, frivolous and without merit. Adam Rothberg added the suit is a “transparent attempt by the plaintiffs, despite their contentions, to punish the author, a Nobel Peace prize winner and world-renowned statesmen, and his publisher, for writing and publishing a book with which the plaintiffs simply disagree,” the Post said.

Update: Senate to Consider Obamacare Repeal Heritage Action for America

Update: Senate to Consider Obamacare Repeal Heritage Action for America: "The Senate may vote whether to repeal Obamacare sometime this week.

Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) will file his Obamacare repeal bill (S. 192), which has the support of every Senate Republican, as an amendment to the FAA re-authorization bill.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) might try to stymie the vote so he can bolster support among leery Democrats at their retreat planned for Wednesday-Friday of next week,

The Senate may also vote on a repeal of Obamacare’s 1099 provision, a $19 billion tax on small business. Senator Mike Johanns’ (R-NE) bill (S.18), has 60 cosponsors.

Now’s the time to take action: email your Senator to express your support for repeal and urge a clear vote on the measure."
