All 14 Wisc. Senate Dems Join Pro-Labor Protesters in March Around Capitol | The Blaze

MADISON, Wis. (AP) – Clogging the Wisconsin Capitol grounds and screaming angry chants, tens of thousands of undaunted pro-labor protesters descended on Madison again Saturday and vowed to focus on future elections now that contentious cuts to public worker union rights have become law.

Protests have rocked the Capitol almost every day since Gov. Scott Walker proposed taking nearly all collective bargaining rights away from public workers, but the largest came a day after the governor signed the measure into law. Madison Police estimated the crowd at 85,000 to 100,000 people—along with 50 tractors and one donkey—by late afternoon. No one was arrested.

Last month, The Blaze exclusively reported that MoveOn.org’s “Rally to Save the American Dream”in Washington, D.C. was orchestrated by a group called the International Socialist Organization (ISO).

After waiting on a Freedom of Information Act request, The Blaze has exclusively obtained the event’s permit documents which clearly state the Dupont Circle rally permit was applied for and granted to ISO. However, new twists in the story paint a different picture of the apparent collusion between leftist groups, including the ISO, MoveOn.org, SEIU, Planned Parenthood and infamous former green jobs czar Van Jones.

See, after becoming the 48th state, Arizonans promptly amended their constitution and reinserted the recall of judges right back into the document. Voters also established the right for women to vote - eight years before the rest of the country.

That spirit of unabashed rugged individualism defines Arizona.

The Wisconsin bill does not -- as critics claim -- take away collective-bargaining rights, but it does limit them. The bill requires public employees to vote on union representation every year and to pay their dues directly to the union rather than having them deducted by the state employer. It also restricts certain public-employee unions from bargaining over benefits and other non-wage issues, and it limits pay increases from exceeding changes in the consumer price index

Millionaires tax rising from the dead--Editorial - NYPOST.com

Millionaires tax rising from the dead--Editorial - NYPOST.com

New York's so-called millionaires tax, set to expire at the end of the year, is threatening once again to rise from the dead.

And then, perhaps, suck the very lifeblood out of New York's economy.

Gov. Cuomo needs to get his ducks in order fast -- and block any such resurrection.

* Alarm No. 1: An upstate GOP senator last week broke ranks with his fellow Republicans to say he'll support an extension of the tax -- which affects couples that earn $250,000 or more -- if it's changed so as to apply only to seven-figure incomes.

Make it a real millionaires tax, in other words.
