Obama’s entrepreneurial Communist Manifesto

Obama’s entrepreneurial Communist Manifesto: "Obama’s Roanoke statements shouldn’t come as any surprise, as he has emphatically declared from early in his presidency that “only government” is our savior, and then he supported his socialistic platform through multiple company and corporate bailouts. To Obama, government is your business partner; government is your savior; government is your hero; government is the economic caped crusader who swoops down like the Dark Knight to save your soul, sales and pocketbook."

Scottsdale Bans Ice Cream Trucks

http://www.azfamily.com/news/Scottsdale-debating-bringing-back-ice-cream-trucks-164213516.html

"Seventeen-year-old Leo Blavin had the idea to start his own ice cream truck business last year, but was shocked to learn he wouldn't be able to operate the truck in his own city.
Scottsdale decided to ban mobile food trucks in the 1970s because of concerns that the trucks were being used as fronts for drug operations."
Wow! When I first read this article about the ice cream truck ban on the azfamily.com's web site I thought I was imagining things. There is just no way anyone could be serious about fighting crime by banning ice cream trucks. That's as stupid as banning cars because you think that they are being used as a front for drunk driving. A lot of the other excuses that I read sounded equally pathetic.
Now I no why I have heard people call Scottsdale Snottsdale. Its because that town must have a few too many intellectually lazy snots with way too much free time on their hands. Now I'm sure it must be just a few elitist snobs who are well connected to come up with something so ridiculous. I'd hate to believe that a whole town could be full of  tyrants trying to run everybody else's lives like that.
The real crime here is that a 17 year old who would like to become a entrepreneur has to learn how ignorant intellectual elitists in government are not the answer. They are the problem. Elitists just want to squash the entrepreneurial spirit of the individual.  The good people of Scottsdale. The ones that are not elitist tyrants should ban together and demand from now on anyone wishing to be in the seat of power in that city pass a course on the constitution. If they fail, they don't even get on the ballot.
Thomas Sowell has a fantastic book titled " Intellectuals and Society". In it he proves just how destructive and tyrannical they can be. Everyone in Scottsdale should read it.

No Surprise;  Obama and Backers’ Petty Minds Blame Racism for Failures

No Surprise;  Obama and Backers’ Petty Minds Blame Racism for Failures: "He tells these dupes of the many things that he will change for the better, much like he did back in 2008 when he promised radical changes and they don’t have a clue as to what he has just bamboozled them into believing, but they cheer loudly and mindlessly.  Things that have never happened and to the contrary, the only changes he has made have been devastatingly disastrous for the country and the dupes still haven’t caught on."

Tales of an Unbalanced CBO #2: The Transportation Tango

Tales of an Unbalanced CBO #2: The Transportation Tango: "Many in Congress – especially those trying to convince conservatives – sold the transportation bill as deficit reduction plan. However, it is clear that this was based on faulty premises put forth by the bill writers and the math was then “verified” by the CBO, thus perpetuating the myth."

Happy Independence Day from Mitch McConnell

I'm reading on the Red State this post from Eric Ericson..

 The Truth. It Hurts.

In it he writes how Bitch... I mean Mitch McConnell says that we shouldn't expect a repeal of Obamacare. McConnell states that its to hard to undo something already done. Wow! You have got to be kidding me. It looks to me like once again we are about to be sold out.
First SCOTUS fails us and now the republican's lead by McConnell. Then at the same time we have people signing over our 2nd amendment rights to the UN.
Congressmen urge the UN to trample the US Constitution

And just a short while back Obama decides to sign an executive order that could give him the power to institute martial law in the United States during peace or a national threat.

Maybe we're going to have to change the holiday to UN-Independence day.

Lets just hope that come this November that the American voter isn't as constitutionally ignorant as they were 4 years ago.

The Federal Green Jobs Agenda: What the Job Counts Actually Tell Us

The Federal Green Jobs Agenda: What the Job Counts Actually Tell Us

The studies allegedly showing job creation from renewable-energy subsidies and the BLS green jobs report are grossly misleading when used to support renewable or green energy programs. In the case of the former, they ignore the significant offsetting job losses from the subsidies and regulations. In the latter case, the definition of “green” is so broad as to be useless for addressing policy questions.

Tocqueville warned us about 170 years ago

Just about 170 years ago Tocqueville wrote about a form of despotism to watch out for. A huge government   that wants to be your guardian and protector.  He said that the government would resemble a paternal power. That they will provide for their happiness but wants to be the sole agent for that happiness. It will provide their security, facilitate their pleasures, conduct their affairs, direct their industries and regulate their estates. Sound familiar?

He goes on to show that the government will not be cruel, or harsh. It will however promote selfishness by catering to them. This of course will make the self governing individual useless and rare. This in turn creates a society ruled by elitist bureaucrats and experts. Such a power, Tocqueville says "does not destroy, it prevents things from being born; it does not tyrannize, it hinders, compromises, enervates, extinguishes, dazes, and finally reduces each nation to being nothing more than a herd of timid and industrious animals of which the government is the Shepherd."  Tocqueville new, the shepherd cares for the defenseless sheep only to fleece them.
